Kilauea volcano (right view)

Right view of Kilauea volcano from Puʻu ʻŌʻō Cone. This crater is approximately 400 m long (left to right in webcam) and 250 m wide (straight ahead). The camera is operational 24/7 and faithfully records the dark of the night if there is no incandescence. The translation of “Kīlauea” is “spewing” obviously refering to the lava erupted by it.
